Suku Passi/Bobs Resources Gold Mine – Suriname
< Home
Overview
This project encompasses a 33,466 ha gold mining block in Eastern Suriname (Guiana Shield) held under Suku Passi N.V. and Bobs Resources N.V., featuring a NI 43-101 compliant resource exceeding 4 million ounces of gold. The concession lies along the same geological belt as Zijin’s Rosebel Gold Mine – an established operation producing ~80 kg of gold per day – highlighting the region’s prospectivity. The deposit is an oxide gold project with an average grade around 2.5 g/t Au, and includes a high-grade sub-block (Chavarma, 511 ha) with even richer grades under a separate 20-year license. Five mining licenses cover the property, all in compliance with Surinamese mining laws and valid into 2030–2038 (renewable), providing long-term security of tenure. Currently, infrastructure on-site is limited, but the project benefits from an accommodating regulatory environment: Suriname offers low corporate taxes and relatively streamlined permitting, which together enable a fast-track development. An estimated $10 million in initial capital would establish essential infrastructure (such as access roads, worker housing, machinery and processing setup) to commence shallow open-pit mining at a rate of 3,000–5,000 tonnes per day, with production potential of 8–12 kg of gold per day at full scale. Pricing for the acquisition is available upon request (for majority ownership of 80–90% of the project, with the seller retaining a minority stake), and as a benchmark, the nearby Rosebel Mine was transacted at $360M for a 6.7 Moz resource. This Suriname gold opportunity offers a combination of large-scale resource, attractive jurisdiction, and quick pathway to production for a strategic investor.

Detail
